Before going live, this page will be reviewed by legal counsel and customized for your jurisdiction of registration. Below is a structural template covering the topics we'll address.

1. Who we are

Abscode Technologies LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India, operates the website abscode.com and the services accessible through it (Document AI APIs, Mobile Scanning SDK, Compression SDK). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. What data we collect

Account data — name, email, company, country, phone number (for signup and billing)
Payment data — processed by Razorpay (India) or Stripe (global); we do not store card details
API / SDK usage — metadata about calls (timestamp, endpoint, response size) for billing and rate-limiting
Documents you process — temporarily processed; auto-purged after response delivered (see Section 4)
Cookies + analytics — first-party cookies for session, anonymous analytics for site improvement

3. How we use it

To provide the services you signed up for (API calls, SDK licensing)
To bill you (via Razorpay / Stripe)
To send transactional communications (account, billing, security alerts)
To improve our service (anonymous aggregated analytics)
To comply with legal obligations (tax records, audit logs)

We do not use your data to train machine learning models. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not sell your data.

4. Document handling

Documents you submit to Document AI APIs are processed in-memory and via temporary storage. By default:

Documents are auto-purged within 24 hours of API response delivery
Optional faster purge (5 minutes) configurable per API key
Enterprise customers can set custom retention or zero-retention modes
Documents are never used to train models
Documents are TLS-1.3-encrypted in transit, AES-256-encrypted at rest

5. Data residency

India customers' data is hosted in GCP Mumbai (asia-south1). Africa + ME customers' data is hosted in GCP Johannesburg (africa-south1). Other regions follow customer country defaults. Enterprise customers may request custom regional hosting.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (DPDP, POPIA, GDPR), you have the right to:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your account and associated data
Export your data in a structured format
Object to processing
Withdraw consent for marketing

8. Changes

We will notify customers by email at least 30 days before any material change to this Privacy Policy.
