Terms of service.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Abscode services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. The service

Abscode provides Document AI APIs (hosted), Mobile Scanning SDK (licensed), and Compression SDK (licensed). See Products for the current scope.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use Abscode services to:

• Process documents you don't have legal right to process
• Build tools for surveillance, harassment, or discrimination
• Violate any applicable law (DPDP, POPIA, GDPR, AML, anti-fraud, etc.)
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our models or algorithms
• Resell access to APIs without explicit OEM / partner agreement
• Bypass rate limits, security controls, or licensing checks

4. Billing & refunds

• Document AI APIs: pay-as-you-go via wallet top-ups. Credit doesn't expire while account is active.
• SDK licenses: annual or multi-year subscription, paid upfront.
• Free trial credit is one-time per organization, non-refundable.
• Refunds: prorated for SDK cancellations within 30 days of purchase. Wallet top-ups generally non-refundable except as required by law.
• All prices exclude taxes. GST / VAT applied per applicable jurisdiction.

5. Intellectual property

• Abscode retains all rights in the APIs, SDKs, models, documentation, and brand.
• You retain all rights in documents you process and outputs you generate.
• SDK license grants you the right to integrate and distribute within your app under license tier scope.
• OEM / white-label rights require separate Enterprise agreement.

6. SLA & uptime

• Document AI APIs: 99.5% monthly uptime SLA
• Service credits: 10% for < 99.5%, 25% for < 99.0%, 50% for < 95%
• Scheduled maintenance excluded (announced ≥ 48h in advance)
• Enterprise SLA negotiated separately (up to 99.95%)

7. Liability

Abscode's total liability is capped at fees paid by customer in the 12 months preceding the claim. No liability for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. Standard SaaS liability framework, final version to be reviewed by legal counsel.

8. Termination

• You may cancel anytime via the portal
• We may terminate for breach of these Terms with 30 days' notice (immediate for severe breaches)
• Upon termination: unused wallet credit forfeited (refundable in select cases), SDK licenses cease, data exported on request within 30 days

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
